While I believe they performed the oral surgery effectively. I feel that they were lacking in clarity and overall comunication. I arrived at my 8am appointment with the assumption that it was to be a consultation, however was greeted with a few forms and my prompt evacuation to the surgical room where the doctor explained the procedure w/ local anastesia and removal of my two wisdom teeth. This was performed quickly, then a couple papers, some motrin, a spray bottle thing (that wasnt even addressed outside of the paperwork) were all shoved in my hands, and I found myself walking into the parking lot 20 minutes later, kind of wondering what exactly just happened. Its three days later and I feel okay, looks like the surgery took, lol. I just wish that I had been offered some time to go over possible pain/anxiety management options for during the procedure. I had work here done when I was in my early 20s and my experience was different. Maybe its one of those man up and bite on this piece of leather while we saw your arm off kinda things.

This write-up is based on my own personal experience last Nov 18, 2021. Positives: - Dr. Barry Maharaj was extremely professional, did not sugar-coat words, gave an honest assessment of my case, and set expectations properly - including all possible scenarios he anticipated during and after treatment. - Dr. Maharaj took the time to patiently answer every question I had. In retrospect, it would work in the patient's favor to have your questions prepared beforehand so you maximize the opportunity to have all of them answered during the visit without forgetting anything. - My whole procedure took less than half an hour (extraction of tooth #1) because Dr. Maharaj is very good at what he does. - After the procedure, I was given a post-operation kit that contains everything I need to know, and use, for the days following the surgery. - Dr. Maharaj also makes himself available for follow-up communication during the recovery process, in the rare case that something unexpectedly goes wrong (i.e. excessive swelling, bleeding, etc.). Thankfully, I never had to contact him for anything and everything went well during my recovery process. But it is nice to know that you are given that option. - The office called up the next day to ask how I was doing in terms of recovery. Not very many healthcare providers do this and it was something I appreciated. Negative: - Just one, and I am sure it is just for the practice to protect themselves and not because they would use information about patients in bad faith. I am referring to a new-patient questionnaire that I needed to fill up prior to my first appointment. One question required me to give my whole social security information. This was the first time I've experienced this in all my years of interacting with healthcare providers. One can choose not to provide that information but the questionnaire implies that the payment process will be more complicated than if the information was just given. Between the ssn and all the other personally identifiable information the document is asking, it is a recipe for identity theft if that information was mishandled. Hopefully, I'm just being overly paranoid. Overall, I would still refer my family and friends to this practice.

I recently got 2 of my implants from Dr. Pham. I absolutely love the wonderful staff and Dr. Pham, I can tell right away this is his calling. I feel at ease! The staff is professional, friendly and funny. My insurance did not pay for the surgery so Dr. Pham gave me a friendly quote. I was fully informed of the cost prior to surgery. Come check them out, you will be a happy patient too:-)
